2011 Ford Explorer Offers Numerous New Features

The 2011 Ford Explorer features several new features and many new technology features as well. The 2011 Ford Explorer among other Ford models will be found at your local NC Ford Dealer and other local Ford dealers. Ford's latest Explorer has been the talk of the town with its fuel efficiency upgrades and numerous new features. The new Explorer will compete with Honda SUVs that are sold at Hattiesburg Honda Dealers among other brands, and Ford hopes that the new Explorer will be able to take a larger market share than it has in past years.

Volkswagen has the Touareg model which will also compete with Ford's latest SUV model and can be found at your local VW Dealer. The 2011 Explorer offers a number of new features including MyFordTouch driver technology and FordSync. Also included are a Sony Audio System and HD Radio media hub with two USB ports. The model comes with an SD reader and RCA video jacks that are accessible through an 8 inch LCD screen.

The 2011 Ford Explorer will be available with several trim options. Safety features include adaptive cruise control, collision warning system, BLIS (Blind Spot Information System), cross traffic alert, and active parking systems.

The availability of these features which are typically reserved for luxury and higher end models will be a first for the Explorer. Ford hopes to revitalized the brand which has sold much fewer models in recent years than it did in the 90s in which it was considered to be one of the top SUV models.

Even the base model is very well equipped and features the following standard: Hill start assist, projector style headlamps, LED taillamps, air filtration, cruise control, keyless entry, six cd player, and four 12 volt power points. The base model features the above and the other safety and other features can be added at a cost. The Ford Explorer XLT will have base features plus several other features included in this particular model, and it will be a sort of luxury version of the regular Explorer model.
