CEO of Ford Joins U.S. Export Council;

The CEO of Ford Motor Company has taken a position as an adviser to the Obama Administration. Pre-owned Ford models can be purchased from a Bradenton used cars dealer. Other auto manufacturing CEOs such as Volkswagen who sells its models at a local Volkswagen Dealer were not invited. The Obama Administration has made plans to reduce greenhouse emissions with the help of automakers like Ford and Tesla that are producing hybrid, diesel, fuel efficient, and battery powered models. Nissan announced the product of its first hybrid model that will be found at a local Stamford Nissan dealer.

However, the advisory group in Washington will deal with issues relating to United States exports. The Obama Administration wanted to create this Export Council to advise the president on issues that relate to American products. Obama made a statement saying that American exports were crucial to a stronger economy and for more jobs for millions of Americans who are out of work.

The Export Council will be involved in the administration's plans to double the amount of American exports over the next five years. Just agricultural exports alone have increased up to 19 percent for the first half of 2010, and other industries are attempting to follow suit.

There have been several steps made already including loans from the U.S. Import-Export bank which have funded ventures that have contributed over 100,000 jobs to the economy and several trade missions that were set up by the Department of Commerce.

Other CEOs on the council include the CEO of Walt Disney Co., Metlife Inc., Vermeer Corp., Dow Chemical Co., Ernst & Young LLP., and several other companies. The leaders of the export council include the CEO of Boeing and Xerox. The group will meet on a regular basis to discuss issues relating to U.S. exports with the president.
