Microsoft Gives Ford Fans Something to Cheer About!

When it comes to vehicles, not everyone can afford auto repair Birmingham. Instead, they might just have to bite the bullet and buy something that can get them from point A to point B. This is right about the time they most likely buy new used cars Birmingham. This may not be the most popular route, but doing so may eventually build their credit up enough so that they can afford and one day buy a great vehicle from Ford dealer Louisville with the most recent and jaw-dropping technology around.

As most are very familiar with, Ford has been making plenty of improvements and advances with their technology ever since they have heard that the public and automotive consumers have a demand for fancy gadgets in their cars. After taking what they were given the Ford company then released Ford SYNC, a factory-installed in-car communications and entertainment system developed by Ford and Microsoft.

Ever since the Ford SYNC release in 2007 it has been installed in more than 2.5 million vehicles in North America alone. However, with very tough competition and an unbeatable competition to leg-up the Chevrolet company and their Onstar safety-features, the Ford company teamed up with Microsoft and has generated something even more competitive: MyFord Touch.

MyFord Touch is the second generation of SYNC and is built on the newly released Microsoft automotive platform, Windows Embedded Automotive 7. The Windows Embedded Automotive platform is full of great features that is designed to provide automakers with important technology that can be integrated into their very best vehicles to enhance communication, entertainment, navigation and information alike.

Most people would argue that the original SYNC version might not be all that different then the MyFord Touch--most people would be wrong. Built with great key features that include speech commands, touch inputs, hands-free Bluetooth phone communications, advanced dashboard systems for access to music, maps, third-party applications and navigation, and streamlined connectivity with other devices. With all of these great key features, it really is hard to say what it is missing.

For those of you Ford fans that are anxious about the new release of the vehicle, be warned that it has no set date of when the new Microsoft Windows Embedded Automotive 7 technology will be released, but it has been said that it will be being launched in Europe and Asia early next year.
