The 2011 Taurus comes in four different trim levels; SE, SEL, Limited, and SHO. The SE starts out at $25,170, the SEL is only a bit more at $27,370, the Limited is affordable at $31,770, and lastly the SHO rings in with a price tag of $37,770. The fuel mileage hovers around 18 mpg around town and 25 mpg on the highway for all the trim levels, but remember that those numbers will vary depending on your driving habits. Other popular cars that you might want to consider if you are wanting all-wheel drive include the entire Subaru line up, the Volvo S60, the Buick LaCrosse, and even the attractive and luxurious Infiniti G37.
When it comes to safety, the Taurus is impressive. All models come standard with electronic stability control, which will soon be required when 2012 safety regulations go into effect. All-wheel drive gives added levels of traction to your vehicle, and comes as a standard feature on the 2011 Taurus SHO. You can opt for all-wheel drive on the SEL and Limited Taurus trim levels, and if you live in a winter climate zone, you will want to strongly consider spending the extra money. Additional safety features that Ford has put on their 2011 Taurus line up include airbags, seat belt reminders for the front seats, improved cabin strength and architecture, as well as the option of a rear view camera.
