Windstar is recalled!

The recall is taking place in 21 sates, The District of Columbia, and Canada where road salt is commonly found. The road salt has been found to be corrosive on the metal of the Windstar. The corrosion may have caused a crack in the rear axle. This crack will not be found on ever Ford Windstar van. The Windstar is no longer in production, but the recall has been put out on the 1997-2003 Windstar high mileage van.

The repairs can be done at any Ford Dealership, and if the repairs can not be made to your van Ford Motors will make sure your replacement parts are ordered.

Ford is also offering a rental vehicle charge free to any Ford customer who has a recalled van in the shop. The rental vehicle will be provided until your vehicle is fixed and out of the shop.
