The All New Sporty Ford Mustang.

The 2011 Ford Mustang of Ford New York, is not only fast, sporty and fun to drive, but it's also newly equipped with the latest safety technology. Some of these features include four wheel anti lock braking system, advanced Trac electronic stability control, and tire pressure monitoring system. When it comes to airbags, the Mustang is covered. These airbags include driver and front passenger airbags with occupant sensor, and seat mounted side impact airbags for driver and front passenger with head extensions. For people who have a hard time remembering to buckle their seat belts, the Mustang has Belt Minder. When it comes to children, the Mustang comes with the LATCH system. This system is also known as the lower anchors and tethers for children. You can find the LATCH system also in some of the vehicles at Connecticut Nissan. Some other great features include, and interior trunk release, and SOS post crash alert system. This system activates hazard lights and sounds horn upon airbag deployment. Also the Mustang has the "black box" event data recorder.

This all new 2011 Ford Mustang also found at places like Ford Dealer Chicago, comes all new with the latest interior features. The Mustang includes illuminated entry, two power points, rear window defroster, air conditioning, securilock passive anti theft system and cruise control. Also the Mustang has MyKey system, remote key less entry, power door locks, power windows with one touch up and down controls, and a compass and outside temperature display. Some other interior features that contribute in making this Mustang luxurious, are the message center, gauge chrome accented intrusive cluster with air registers, tilt steering wheel with cruise controls, driver footrest, and front black floor mats. When it comes to the exterior of the Mustang, there are some great features that combined in making the Mustangs look sporty. Some of these features include, variable intermittent wipers, black power windows including integrated blind spot mirror, LED sequential tail lights, and complex reflector halogen head lights. A few other exterior features would be a tire mobility kit, P215/60R17 all season tires, and 17 inch by 7 inch painted aluminum wheels. If you think that's a lot of features for the Mustang, this isn't even it, there's a lot more.

Ford Mustang vs Chevy Camaro; Who's Safer?

Let's talk about the 2011 Ford Mustang. The Mustang ranked number 1 out 4 Muscle Cars. It is the only vehicle in its class that is equipped with more than 300 horsepower to net over 30mpg. The Mustang V6 also has a new engine. It is a 3.7 liter V6 that creates 305 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 280 pound-feet of torque at ,4250. That's a lot more horsepower and torque than what was in last year's model, which could probably be purchased at Cars For Sale Palm Bay.

The 2011 Mustang has not yet been tested, but the 2010 model received five stars in front and side impacts as well as rollover tests. The vehicle is equipped with dual -stage front airbags, front seat side airbags, all speed traction control and Advance Trac electronic stability control. This vehicle also comes with a feature that I think all cars should come with. It is called MyKey. MyKey is designed for parents to help teach their teenagers safe driving habits. MyKey does a number of things. It will limit the top speed of the vehicle to 80 mph, it will also disable the audio system when seatbelts are not being used and it will sound a persistent chime when the vehicle's speed hits 45, 55, and 65 mph. Pretty important feature I think if you are a parent with a driving teenager.

Ford also has a pretty good warranty package. They offer three year/36,000 mile basic warranty and five year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty, along with a five year/60,000 mile roadside assistance.

Now the new 2011 Chevrolet Camaro, which can be found at Akron Chevrolet or Bedford Chevrolet, was ranked 2 out of 4 Muscle Cars. The Camaro LS, 1LT, and the 2LT features a 3.6 liter V6 engine that creates 312 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 278 pound-feet of torque at 5,200 rpm. The Carmaro V6 has a seven horsepower advantage over the all new Mustang V6.

The 2011 Camaro also received four out of five stars in frontal impact crash tests and a perfect score of five stars for driver side crashes. They also scored five stars on rollover tests. The vehicle comes equipped with dual-stage front and side impact airbags for front seat occupants and head curtain side impact airbags for all passengers. The Camaro also comes with four wheel anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control with traction control.

Chevrolet also offers a great warranty package. They have a three year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. Five year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. Roadside assistance and courtesy transportation is offered for five years/100,000 miles.

Even though the 2011 Chevy Camaro is a little faster than the 2011 Ford Mustang, I would have to choose the Mustang just for the pure fact it is safer and it offers MyKey. You just can't beat that feature.

Who Has MyKey?

Let's talk about the 2011 Ford Mustang. The Mustang ranked number 1 out 4 Muscle Cars. It is the only vehicle in its class that is equipped with more than 300 horsepower to net over 30mpg. The Mustang V6 also has a new engine. It is a 3.7 liter V6 that creates 305 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 280 pound-feet of torque at ,4250. That's a lot more horsepower and torque than what was in last year's model, which could probably be purchased at any used Phoenix Volkswagen or at Used Car Brandon. Even though the 2011 Chevy Camaro, like the one's found at Detroit GM, has a seven horsepower advantage, the Mustang offer's many more safety features.

The 2011 Mustang has not yet been tested, but the 2010 model received five stars in front and side impacts as well as rollover tests. The vehicle is equipped with dual-stage front airbags, front seat side airbags, all speed traction control and Advance Trac electronic stability control. This vehicle also comes with a feature that I think all cars should come with. It is called MyKey. MyKey is designed for parents to help teach their teenagers safe driving habits. Ford also has a pretty good warranty package. They offer three year/36,000 mile basic warranty and five year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty, along with a five year/60,000 mile roadside assistance.

There were many more pros than cons that I found. US News states that this vehicle has a "powerful 305 horsepower base engine, best fuel economy in it's class, more agile than muscle car rivals and that it has an attractive, retro design on the inside and out". The only cons that were listed was that there was a slight visibility problem from the drivers seat and the back seat really wasn't made for adults. But who can beat the MyKey feature? I know I will want it in my vehicle when my kids start to drive. It's just a nice piece of mind.

Mustang Sets Records at Bristol Speedway;

The 2011 Ford Mustang V-6 averaged 48.6 miles per gallon at Bristol Motor Speedway at an average speed of 43.9 mph. The Ford Mustang was previously the first car ever to have a fuel efficiency of 30 mpg and a 302 horsepower powertrain. Other models such as the Nissan Altima and Chevy Silverado were not a part of the test at Bristol.

The test at Bristol was a part of the Mustang 1,000 lap challenge in which 51,000 contestants attempted to guess the total number of laps that the Mustang would be able to run on a single tank of fuel. The 2011 Mustang was a stock model with no additions. Although the goal of Ford engineers for the Mustang was set at 1,000 laps, it far surpassed that goal by reaching a total of 1,457 laps and 776.5 miles. The challenge was completed over the course of 17 hours and 40 minutes.

The 2011 Mustang V-6 features an all aluminum 3.7 liter dual overhead cam V-6 engine with the latest fuel efficiency technology. Tom Barnes, the lead engineer for the challenge had this to say about the results, "It was great when we went past the 1,000 lap mark with David, but nobody could ever imagine that we still had five hours ahead of us. This is a fantastic feeling and it shows again what a great car the 2011 Mustang V-6 is."

The total number of laps for the Mustang is astonishing, although Ford engineers designed the test to incorporate several fuel saving techniques such as avoiding the use of air conditioning, avoiding stops and starts, and keeping driving steady and consistent.

There were a total of 22 entries that guessed the total number of laps correctly. One entry will be selected at random as the winner of a 2011 Mustang V-6. The same model that was used to run the laps at Bristol is a stock model that can be purchased at a local Ford dealer.
