Toyota will continue to compete in the small vehicle market with its Corolla and Yaris brand which can be found at Salt Lake City Toyota Scion Dealers. Sales for July are expected to be slightly higher for 2010 than sales for 2009 for Ford. The reason why the July sales were so high in 2009 was due to the "cash for clunkers" program that resulted in a large amount of small vehicle sales during the month.
As a result, the Ford Focus sedan and the Ford Escape Hybrid sales may be down for the month of July for 2010, but it is mainly due to the "cash for clunkers" program that expired last year. Ford's F-Series was not a major seller during the "cash for clunkers" program, however for 2010 it has turned out to be a much better seller. The 2010 and 2011 F-Series are Ford's latest and best F-Series ever, and have featured several high industry ratings and reviews.
Overall, larger vehicles are selling better for 2010 as opposed to 2009 because of increased consumer confidence in larger vehicles. Large SUVs have outpaced small vehicle sales for the first half of 2010 and this pace may or may not continue depending on how quickly models like the Cruze and Fiesta sell out at the end of 2010.
