Fiesta to be Marketed During X-Games;

Ford will market its Fiesta model during the X-Games and Ford will be one of the major sponsors of the games in 2010. The Fiesta will be released later this year in the United States for the first time since the first Fiesta model was created. The Fiesta is a competitor to models like the Chevy Cruze which will be found at Cincinnati Chevrolet dealers.
Pittsburgh GMC Dealers also sell GM models that compete with some of Ford's other vehicles. The Ford Fiesta has done well in Europe and in other markets throughout the world. Volkswagen's numerous small vehicle models such as the Beetle can be purchased during VW Deals for more savings.

The new Ford Fiesta ad stars rally driver Ken Block. Ford has released a new 60 advertisement featuring the driver. Ford will market the Fiesta to consumers through a more interactive approach. A Ford marketing executive said, “Our strategy with Fiesta is simple – let the consumer experience the car. Everything from our ads to the unique interactions and the events we host is different from any other car launch.”

The interactive approach is the new model for competitors like GM who is selling its latest Corvette model with a unique buyer experience, and is also offering smartphone applications as well as a Microsoft X-box interactive feature that will show of the latest capabilities of the Volt.

Ford will market the Fiesta at the X-Games with a promotion that will allow interested consumers to win a Fiesta. In the 2011 X Games Ford Rally America will have four drivers. The X Games have many potential buyers in Ford's target demographic and the games will feature two competitions: Rally Car Racing and SuperRally which is a European style rallycross in which four cars race against each other. Ford Rally America drivers will all drive Fiesta models in the competition.
