F-150 EcoBoost V6: The Next "It" Truck!

The last time Ford offered a V6 engine in their full size F-150 was 2008, but be prepared to see it again for the 2011 production year.  Some of the popular SUVs from Hyundai Hartford might be able to offer a great driving experience and exceptional fuel efficiency, but the trucks from Ford are a force to be reckoned with.  American consumers are incredibly brand loyal, and no country drives more trucks than we do!  The nice thing about the new Ford trucks is that they come with some amazing comfort and technology features that will rival anything you can buy at Mercedes-Benz Pittsburgh.

It has already been reported that the new F-150 for 2011 is going to be released with four new engines, which is more news than we’ve seen from Jaguar Birmingham lately.  The entire truck line up from Ford promises to be “Built Ford Tough,” even the new V6 options that they are throwing in the mix to give consumers what they want.  You will be hard pressed to find data that shows any other auto brand selling more trucks than Ford, and the reason many buyers sway in the first place is because they want more fuel efficiency.

When GM and Chevrolet released their hybrid full size trucks, it brought a new selling tactic to the game.  Truck buyers are usually concerned with towing capability, torque, and horsepower.  Now, interior comfort amenities, safety, and fuel efficiency are just as important as how functional their truck is.  The new base model will be a 3.7 liter V6.  Drivers will still get an impressive 302 horsepower and 278 pound feet of torque.  That model will be available at the end of this year.  The highly anticipated V6 EcoBoost is the one you will want to take for a test drive when it hits dealerships in February.  This twin-turbocharged engine is going to produce 365 horsepower and an astonishing 420 pound feet of torque!
