Ford has done well due to revamped models and new models such as the Ford Fusion, 2011 Mustang, and several others. Ford has already almost sold 1 million vehicles which for the year is up a large 28 percent. 2009 was a rough year for the whole automotive industry, as the industry fell to second place to China for the number of vehicles sold per year.

Some other models that are popular include the 2011 F-Series Super Duty which has an increase of over 58 percent compared to 2009. The model has over 50 percent of the heavy duty pickup market, which is Ford’s best showing in this segment since 2000.

Ford’s Mustang has also been in high demand with sales up 37 percent compared to 2009. The 2011 Mustang is one of the most efficient sports vehicles in history with over 300 horsepower and 30 mpg capability on the highway. It is the only model that has ever been capable of these numbers thus far. The Mustang is available in a V-6 or V-8 engine.

The Ford Fiesta which is available in Europe and on its way to United States markets has also been a top seller. The Fiesta is developed by Ford’s global division. It is one of the most fuel efficient sub compact vehicles and it has a huge fanbase in Europe. The subcompact vehicle market is growing in the United States and more models are being introduced into the U.S. market such as the Mazda 2 and others.
