F-150's New Engines!

Ford Boise truck enthusiasts should be happy now that Ford has announced there will be four new engines in their 2011 Ford F-150 line up.  Of course this news has no impact on Peoria Volkswagen, as their line up consists of small cars and compact SUVS.  But, the announcement that these new engines will be 20% more fuel efficient than the 2010 models might pose some competition for the smaller car market.  While the pricing hasn't been announced for the 2011 line up, it shouldn't be too much higher than the 2010 models.  If the prices are too out of your range, go see Salem bad credit car lot to see what kind of trucks they have in their current inventory.  Plus, the entire full size truck line up at Ford is going to have standard a six speed automatic transmission.  The new F-150s will also feature SelectShift, which will help drivers tow large loads with greater ease.  It will allow drivers to enter a manual mode and have control over which gear the truck is in.

The exciting truck that many people are awaiting the release of will feature the new V6 EcoBoost twin turbocharged engine.  While this truck won't be available until early 2011, it is a brand new engine in the making.  The 3.5 liter engine has not had the specifics figured out yet, meaning we don't know what to expect for horsepower or torque.  Ford has assured consumers that this engine will adhere to their Built Ford Tough motto.  The other V6 engine Ford is introducing is the 3.7 liter, which is expected to give drivers 300 horsepower and 275 pound feet of torque.  This smaller engine will still be able to tow 6,100 pounds and get great fuel economy.  Plus, drivers can go 10,000 miles between oil changes!

The other two engine sizes in the new line up include the 5.0 liter V8 and the 6.2 liter V8.
