
Ford has had a reputation for being a low cost vehicle brand but the company has put much more effort into being rebranded as a more expensive vehicle company. New York Hyundai Dealers are also selling Hyundai models which have been branded as being higher quality than they ever have in the past. Jim Farley, Ford's vice president of global marketing said that Ford will no long be seen as a discount brand after marketing and production shifts are made.
The difference in transaction prices between a Corolla and a Focus for instance have been tremendous and this is because consumers have been more willing to pay higher prices for Toyota vehicles because of a perceived image of reliability and quality. Now, Ford has regained that image, and customers have even shown within the past year that they are willing to pay higher prices for the latest Ford vehicle models.
Ford now has the option to offer higher pricing because the company has been in greater demand. More people are shopping for Ford vehicles, and the company is one of the most considered vehicle brands not just in America but throughout the world. Ford is making large strides in its turnaround plan, and the company will be able to raise more money to pay off debts after it has raised enough capital from sales.
